Common questions

Frequently asked

How quickly can Cornerstone be deployed at our facility?
Most deployments — whether cloud or on-premise — are fully live within 3 to 7 business days. This includes infrastructure provisioning, DICOM routing, PACS configuration, data migration, and staff training. The exact timeline depends on your existing infrastructure and data volume.
Does Cornerstone RIS work with our existing PACS or DICOM archive?
Yes. Cornerstone RIS is built on Orthanc an open-source, DICOM 3.0-compliant PACS server. It supports WADO-RS, WADO-URI, and DICOMweb standards, making it compatible with virtually all modern modalities and existing DICOM archives. We handle migration of historical studies during onboarding.
Can Cornerstone be deployed on-premise without cloud dependency?
Absolutely. On-premise deployment is a first-class option not an afterthought. For institutions with data residency requirements or limited or unreliable internet connectivity, we deploy the full Cornerstone stack on your own hardware. The platform functions entirely without external cloud dependencies in this mode.
What modalities does the AI engine support?
The current AI diagnostic engine is optimised for chest X-ray (CXR / DX modality) using a DenseNet121 ensemble model trained on the NIH ChestX-ray14 dataset. It detects 14 pathological findings with confidence scoring and visual heatmaps. Support for CT, MRI, and ultrasound AI analysis is on the roadmap for 2026–2027.
When will the EMR platform be available?
The Cornerstone EMR is currently in active development and is scheduled for early access launch in Q3 2026. If you'd like to be part of the early access programme, use the contact form above and select "Pricing & licensing" or mention the EMR in your message — we'll add you to the priority list.
How is pricing structured?
Pricing is scoped per deployment based on the number of active users, modalities, storage volume, and whether cloud or on-premise hosting is required. We do not publish fixed public pricing because hospital contexts vary significantly a 2-room diagnostic centre and a 500-bed teaching hospital have very different requirements.
